Deleting and restoring projects

When you’re finished with a project, you can delete it to free up a slot. Deleting is permanent — but livemy.app keeps a backup for a while, so you can bring the project back if you change your mind.

Delete a project

On a project card, select Delete and confirm. Deleting tears the project down completely:

  • the app and its server are removed;
  • its routes, SSL certificate, and DNS records are cleared, so a custom domain is fully released and you can reuse it on another project;
  • the project slot frees up right away, so you can start something new.

Just before teardown, livemy.app takes a final backup — that’s what lets you restore the project afterwards.

Restore a deleted project

Deleted projects stay in your list under the Deleted filter, each showing how long its backups are kept. To bring one back, select Restore and choose a backup. livemy.app provisions a fresh server and restores your data; this takes a couple of minutes.

Your project keeps its original public URL. If that address was taken by another project in the meantime, livemy.app assigns a new one and tells you.

Delete backups for good

To remove a project’s backups immediately — without waiting for them to expire — select Delete backups on the deleted card and confirm. This erases every backup and can’t be undone; once the backups are gone, the project can no longer be restored.
